*C. Anderson* -TOPIC: Poetry In Class: How to interpret a poem. HW: Corrective loop papers are due today.

*Sutcliffe* – 11/16-11/20 This week the students are doing EDR’s (Edit Draw Revise) where they practice writing more descriptive sentences and editing sentences for mistakes. They should complete 5 and turn them in by Wednesday. They will probably need to finish some as homework.

Wednesday is also the beginning of our poetry unit. Students are asked to read poetry during SSR (books provided, or they can bring their own). They should have a packet in their binder that they will be working on for the next three weeks. They will then be putting together their own poetry books with their original poems.

Thursday we will review for a quiz, then Friday, students will take the quiz in the computer lab, and then work on missing assignments.

Students should have turned in their Houdini essay. If they have not, they can access it on their asd google drive from home to finish it. It is a heavily weighted assignment, so it greatly affects the grade.

Students: If you think you turned something in, but don’t have a grade, check the no-name basket.
